In this class you will learn how to use oxygen-enriched air (EAN) to safely extend your bottom times at recreational dive limits, or add a safety factor to your dives and feel better after your dives.

Example:
Using Nitrox I (32%) the no-decompression limit for a dive to 80 feet is 50 minutes.
Using Nitrox II (36%) the no-decompression limit for a dive to 80 feet is 60 minutes.

We will provide training and education in the safe use of nitrogen-oxygen mixtures. In addition to the advantages and limits of using Nitrox, topics included are the physics and physiology of Nitrox use, oxygen safety, and the analysis of Nitrox mixtures. Certification is issued through IANTD (International Association of Nitrox and Technical Divers), TDI (Technical Diving International), PADI (Professional Association of Diving Instructors) and/or NAUI (National Association of Underwater Instructors).

Two open water dives using Nitrox are required for certification.

Fee: $150.00 ($125.00 if paid at least one week in advance) Includes textbook, course, and open water dives with Aqua Specialists Instructors in Ohio quarries, Nassau, or Cozumel. (Travel not included)

Quarry and/or boat charter fees, cost of Nitrox gas, and open water gear are not included. Referral letters to qualified IANTD, TDI, NAUI and/or PADI facilities are available. Private classes are available at your facilities for four or more people.

Open Water Certification or equivalent is required to take this course. You must be at least 16 years of age. Class size is limited to 6. Minimum of 3 students required.
